Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for night shifts, Saturday and Sunday for day shifts
\n• Holiday rotation requirement to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Multi-care unit with three acuity levels (ICU, PCU, MST) - no floating between units for acuity changes
\n• Patient ratios depend on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6, or 1:3 primary care if no nursing aide available
\n• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities with strong skills
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
\n• Required to titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
\n• Responsible for taking 12-lead EKGs and monitoring ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitors
\n• Float requirements to EC MST, Pediatric unit for adult MST care, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU
\n• Floating to West Campus with two-hour notice requirement
\n• May take full med-surg team assignment of 1:5 patients when floating
\n• Standby rotation during low census periods
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• BSN not required
\n• Any scrub color acceptable except camouflage
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Common diagnoses include sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, and post-op complications

This healthcare facility operates a 10-bed multi-care unit that provides three different acuity levels within one unit, eliminating the need for patient transfers between different departments. The facility features comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy with ventilators, BiPap, and CPAP equipment, plus remote monitor technicians for PCU and MST patients. The organization maintains multiple campuses and provides a full range of acute care services with dedicated charge nurses managing inpatient operations across various specialties including medical-surgical, pediatrics, and intensive care units.
